Electives - Course Recommendations

There's a lot of electives at Westwood, with everything from Fashion to Biomedical Sciences. That's why, on this page, only some electives are reviewed, with advice and tips from students.

Biomedical Sciences

BioMed is a popular track at Westwood, more so than Health Sciences. Students say that it can be hard at times, but if you wish to become a doctor, then this is the path for you. Most students have above a 90 in the class, meaning their GPA is unaffected (The class is unweighted, thankfully). More about GPA can be found here.

Business

If a student takes Business Information Management in middle school, they can skip it in the business pathway, which is why this site recommends business to any student who took BIM.

Engineering

Engineeering at Westwood has mixed reviews, with some students reporting that it is boring, while others say it's a fun class. Students recieve a Fusion360 certification from the class.

Computer Science

AP Computer Science Principles may be the easiest class at Westwood (after Pathways). With so little workload and little new material as well, the course is extremely easy. However, the courses after it ramp up in difficulty, according to students.
