Social Studies

There's very few social studies courses at Westwood, with 2 clearly defined pathways (remember: don't take on-level and take TAG when possible):

Some may take advanced ethnic studies instead of AP Social Study courses as they may be easier with less of a hit to your GPA than onlevel

1. AP Human Geography (Known as AP HuG.)


2. AP World History (Commonly skipped. Known as APWH.)


3. AP US History (Commonly skipped over the summer and sometimes replaced with AP Psychology. Known as APUSH.)


4. AP Government and AP Macroeconomics or AP Microeconomics (Both are semester-long courses and referred to as AP Gov & Econ.)
